| Summary | 0010339: double click on region : add entry to : edit in separate window | ||||
| Description | in the preferences > editor tab > double click zooms to selection, would be handy to have a choice between 'double click zooms to selection' and 'edit in separate window'. Ideally that if a midi region is double clicked, the separate window for midi editing the region is opened, and in case an audio region is double clicked, an application of choice would be opened with the audio from the region loaded for editing the audio and when saved the edited audio would be reloaded into the audio region. | ||||

Perhaps you know it: You kinda have that choice by setting preferences to double-click zooms, then if you want to zoom, double-click, and if you want to open in seperate window: right-click region and choose "edit in separate window" in the right-click-menu. I hope i didn't misunderstand you. |

Hi n4dir, Thank you for your reaction, always appreciate a comment ! Yes, you didn't misunderstand me. I know the 'edit in separate window' from the region's right click menu. But would be nice to have this as a choice in the preferences > editor, in addition to the 'double click zooms to selection' possibility. See my gimp'd image below :-) Kind Regards, Luc. |
