Summary0010336: MIDI Tracks - Narrow width when piano roll not shown
DescriptionVersion: 9.2.689 Nightly Build
Default Ardour theme `dark`

Probably not much that can be done about this but
I noticed that if you have some MIDI tracks in a project, where some have increased track heights (which reveals the tracks piano roll), that the other track box widths appear visually confusing.

Steps To Reproduce1.) Use default theme `dark`

2.) In a new session create the following tracks
Master
MIDI 1
MIDI 2
Audio
Bus
MIDI 3

3.) Now increase the height of `MIDI 1` track so that piano roll appears.
4.) Add a `Velocity` Automation track for MIDI 1 track.
5.) You will now notice that all the non MIDI tracks, track box widths adjust to the width vertical piano in piano roll.
6.) The MIDI 2 and 3 track widths do not adjust and their vertical meters do not align with the other tracks vertical meters.
Additional InformationTo me this is visually confusing.
Again not sure if there is anything that can be done about this because obviously that indented space is for if/when the other MIDI track heights are increased and piano roll graphic appears.

Wonder if it would be possible to maybe have MIDI tracks vertical meters (when not showing the piano roll graphic) behave in the same way as Audio and Bus tracks, so that all of the track meters can align vertically, without any indentations?
Would only make this update if this can be solved without an unwanted distracting animation of MIDI tracks vertical meters moving to the left to make room for piano roll graphic as track height is increased by user.
