| Summary | 0010309: Startup dialog - Increase text size | ||||
| Description | When you first launch Ardour it shows "splash screen" and then a startup dialog allowing using to select from RECENT, OPEN, NEW. I know this dialog has to show a great deal of information/text but to me it seems like the font size used in very small. Suggesting to increase the size of this text by default. But if not then maybe could add a setting to be able to adjust the size of the text used? Thank You | ||||
| Additional Information | Note: I highly doubt this update/suggestion is going to be considered. In the past I tried messing around with editing GTK based desktop environments CSS file to alter text sizes in Ardour but had mixed results with button sizes increasing but text staying the same size, etc. If anyone knows of a way to achieve this using CSS, please let me know. | ||||

When you first launch Ardour the "new user dialog" allows you to change the default font size. Later you can change it in Preferences >Apearance. |

Same font size is really used all over Ardour, not just this "new user dialog" Understandable because a lot of text needs to fix throughout Ardour GUI. Issue with Preferences >Appearance approach is that is it only tied to increasing the size of all the GUI elements as well, so no wiggle room for just adjusting fonts a little. Anyways Thank You Can close if want to |
