| Summary | 0010257: MIDI note at beginning of region causes glitches | ||||
| Description | For me it's always reproducible with TAL NoiseMaker (v5.0.6) and sometimes (randomly) happens with other plugins like Vital, Dexed, ZynFusion. Only experiencing this bug since 9.0 update and onwards, earlier these plugins did not have this issue. Bug: Placing a MIDI note at the very beginning of a region (assuming note-on and region start coincide) causes a bunch of issues: 1. The note doesn't switch off. Doesn't matter note's length, plugin gets stuck on that note and output continues. If there are other notes it plays them then returns to the "stuck" note, even after the MIDI region has ended. Track MIDI meter indicates the correct note-on and note-off signals i.e. no continuous MIDI signal — but the audio output continues. "MIDI Panic" button turns it off. 2. After issue 0000001 above occurs, then stopping playback and restarting anywhere else on timeline (even if there is no MIDI there), we get this "ghost note" playing non-stop again. This occurs whether or not I press "MIDI Panic". Track MIDI and audio meters both show signal again, even though there is no region or note present there on timeline. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1. Create new MIDI track with TAL NoiseMaker 2. Enable 'Snap Mode' 3. Create MIDI region on gridline and draw a single MIDI note at the beginning of the region. 4. Play region ! Bug occurs 5. Press "MIDI Panic" to stop note, then move playhead anywhere else on timeline 6. Play ! Bug reoccurs | ||||

Likely caused by a bug in MIDI Chase; can you try if it helps to disable that in Preferences > MIDI > When locating, track sustained MIDI notes and play them when rolling? |

This is likely fixed in the nightlies that include commit 0f77c50906f |
