| Summary | 0010252: Bottom pane height not resizable | ||||
| Description | Hi, I'm using Ardour 9.2 and noticed that the bottom pane (which shows plugin controls, etc.) doesn't appear to be resizable. When I hover over the divider between the bottom pane and the timeline area, the cursor doesn't change to a resize handle, so I can't drag it to adjust the pane height. Is this intentional, or is resize support planned/missing? I'd love to be able to freely resize it. Thanks for the great work on Ardour! | ||||

I think it's intentional. But I agree it would be a very nice feature to freely resize it. Same with the track width and the left track pane in edit view. |

Paul said this is intentional. however i too would like to be able to resize it. i brought that up here. https://tracker.ardour.org/view.php?id=10169 |

to me this doesn't make any sense, because, in the cue mode. the bottom panel is resizable. yet has a minimum low range , and maximum high range , which still isnt low enough for me on my screen to show the whole track section in the top cue section. it would be nice if i could resize it anywhere, and there wasn't like a minimum or maximum, but instead let me make it fullscreen inside the ardour. . i dont know why the piano roll even has a separate window when it could have been a full screen mode inside of ardour itself. idk? that seems like it would have been much nicer, having all the screens within the program itself when editing. |

its completely possible, and even feels pretty good tbh. check out the video. |

And why don't you tell us how? |

I meant, it's possible for the devs to add it. The video is from my version of Ardour. I have been using ai to add features to a personal build on my machine. If you want to try it you can find it on my github. https://github.com/pyrotek45/ardour/tree/feature/resizable-bottom-panel |
