| Summary | 0010228: Ardour freezes when loading session with addt'l windows open on workspace and must be forcefully closed | ||||
| Description | When a window is already open on a given workspace in Sway, if I try to open Ardour, it starts to load the session but it never fully completes and ends up freezing with the session open and the loading screen still present but the session window is unresponsive no matter how long it's left open. It does a similar thing when the session is already loaded and another window is opened beside it as well. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1) install / start sway session 2) open any window (doesn't matter what, a term, your browser, etc) 3) start Ardour 4) attempt to load a session 5) observe the loading window never goes away and the session is unresponsive alternative way to cause a similar freeze (assumes you're still in a Sway session): 1) start Ardour 2) load session 3) wait for session to fully load 4) open another window (doesn't matter what) 5) observe that the Ardour session is now unresponsive (doesn't happen every single time but happens most of the time) | ||||
| Additional Information | I'm technically using SwayFX but I've tested on Sway 1.11 with the same results so not an issue specific to the FX fork. | ||||
