HA! Ugh.. O___o I believe I'm (still) experiencing a *version* of this as well. And the key ingredient between us is our use of *Aux Sends*. So I would be VERY surprised if this issue is NOT related to this one I posted about earlier: https://tracker.ardour.org/view.php?id=10182 I even made a video about it as well: https://odysee.com/@icterine:a/Ardour-9---Audio-Looping-Glitch-during-Soloing-whilst-Playing:a ... I forgot to reopen my report, so I'll do so now. Thanks, @mkindred for bringing attention to this! : ) -J |

As soon as I saw your issue move to the top, I realized it's the same as mine. I experience this with solo and with mute. |

btw my buffer is set to 4096, and the frequency on my glitches sound like they're half as fast as yours at 2048. |

A new video replicating the issue with fresh session, no aux sends: https://youtu.be/cLnUTJe6x-0 |

@mkindred "btw my buffer is set to 4096, and the frequency on my glitches sound like they're half as fast as yours at 2048." I meant to mention that this was a very good observation on your part. And you are almost certainly 100% correct. But to be sure, I converted the audio from your first video to an mp3, and compared it to my original video's audio. In the pictures, you can see that my glitch is *precisely* 2048 samples, which is equal to my buffer size. But, oddly, yours was something like 3762 samples... Well, I suspected this just has to do with some sample-rate conversion issue either on your-end or my-end, and sure enough: 44,100/48,000 = 0.91875 then 0.91875 * 4096 = 3763.2 ! O___O TL;DR: So yes, this glitch-loop is almost certainly related to our buffer sizes. ... (PS: Did Youtube convert your 48,000 audio/video to 44,100? : P How did this discrepancy arise? O___o Because the audio (from your video) I have is 1:17 long, -just the same as your YouTube video length. So I suspect the conversion issue might be on your-end(?), but who knows...) |

Hmm, not sure if yt might have converted my audio. (I've just begun researching upload guidelines and currently tweaking my kdenlive rendering settings accordingly.) In the first video, I exported to AAC 16/48k/169kbps. Second video was ALAC 24/48k. |
