| Description | This is a couple of different bugs, which I think are related because they all are connected to playback in some form or another. 1. When I open Ardour it automatically starts playing back the session. 2. Play/Pause with spacebar works until "Go to start of session" is used, no matter if used from to top control bar or via shortcut. Spacebar now no longer toggles Play/Pause. 3. Placing the playhead anywhere in the Bars:Beats ruler does: - place the playhead at the required position - automatically plays back the session (probably not intended) - now the spacebar Play/Pause works again until "Go to start of session" is triggered, see 2. 4. Using "Go to end of session" places the playhead at the "end" marker but also automatically plays back the session (probably not intended) | ||||

Oh, your're right. I didn't know this feature existed and somehow must have activated it by accident. But now again (see here: https://discourse.ardour.org/t/home-not-working-anymore/112631) I got the problem that the "Go to start of session" doesn't work at all. Weirdly "Go to end of session" works and after I did that "Go to start of session" works but only when I did "Go to end of session" first. Having the playhead somewhere in between "start" and "end" "Go to start of session" doesn't work. In that forum post from december last year I thought I accidentally pressed a shortcut that caused this but this time I'm sure I didn't. Just a couple of days ago I had to fresh install my entire OS and also Ardour, so the Ardour installation is almost a default as it can be. Something is wrong with this playhead and the "Go to start of session" function, I just can't pin down exectly what.
