| Summary | 0010135: Play Range-Selection plays beginning of non selected regions after | ||||
| Description | `Play Range/Selection` transport button / shortcut issue Instead of stopping the playing at the end of a selected region, if there are any regions right after (edges align) you will notice it plays a short amount of the beginning of that next region. Thank you to anyone who reads this | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | -In `Editor` window, drag a sample that has an immediate attack at the beginning (for example a snare sample) . -Select that snare sample region and hit CTRL+D to duplicate this region to the right. -Select the first snare region (one on the left) -Then activate `Play Range/Selection` transport button / shortcut action -It plays the first sample region but when it reaches the end of the region you can hear a little of the duplicated snare sample region right after it being played. | ||||

Tested in 9.5.x nightly build demo and still occurs. This seems like it might be worth fixing? If anyone is interested Also something else I noticed. If you are using the nightly build demo and you choose "Remain Silent" so no audio should be heard after. If you perform the example I mentioned above, when the playhead gets to the end of Audio1 / beginning of Audio2 you can still hear the quick sharp transient sound of the snare sample still being let through, even though Ardour is in silent mode. Not sure if this helps in any way to solve this issue? |
