| Summary | 0010126: Piano Roll Window - Cannot open when Properties Panel Piano Roll is open | ||||
| Description | I was trying figure out if the `Properties Panel Piano Roll` and the `Piano Roll Window` were the same entity and I noticed the following EXAMPLE 1 -If you select a MIDI region and turn on `Properties Panel`, it shows `Properties Panel Piano Roll` -While `Properties Panel Piano Roll` is still open, if you then try to double click on that MIDI region, it prevents the `Piano Roll Window` from opening. This at first makes me think that both of the piano rolls are the same entity, meaning that only one of them could be opened at the same time. However this is not necessarily true EXAMPLE 2 -With `Properties Panel` off, double click on MIDI region to open `Piano Roll Window` -Now move the `Piano Roll Window` aside so you can see your Editor window below, if you then double click on that MIDI region (while `Piano Roll Window` is still open), then the `Properties Panel Piano Roll` opens and you can have both. I would think it would either be, allow 1 piano roll at a time or allow both piano rolls, but the current behavior is somewhere in between. It seems that because EXAMPLE 2 shows that 2 piano roll instances are possible, then I guess it would make sense that EXAMPLE 1 should allow the `Piano Roll Window` to be opened and not blocked from opening.
