| Description | In the past I have noticed occasional issues with odd size of "Action Buttons" 1 and 2. Not sure if fixed or not. The widths of the buttons at one time showed up narrower then buttons 3 and 4. And also their numbers 1 and 2 were smaller and in bottom right corner of button as oppose to being centered like they usually are. I have not seen this recently but just mentioning because I have had the following issue occur where certain icons appear larger then the buttons they are in. For example the "List Plugins" icon, the arrow on the right side of the icon goes over the buttons right edge. | ||||

I recently tested this out in nightly build version 9.2.567 and this oddly, still occurs? The main toolbar by default shows 4 `Action Buttons` Buttons 1 & 2 by default have "actions" assigned to them. Buttons 1 & 2 do not appear as squares as buttons 3 & 4 do. Buttons 1 & 2 widths are narrower making them appear more rectangular. Also this makes their icons appear to not be centered in the button. Their icons also extend beyond the edges of the buttons themselves. This is a main GUI based item that is seen all the time by default. Probably should be addressed to go with the goal of cleaning up of the main toolbar. Thank You |

I tried Ardour 9.2.675 nightly and noticed a slight improvement to this button issue. The buttons are now at least all the same rectangular shape. Things that remain.... -Icon Sizes Now that button widths have been narrowed, the icons that get shown in them for specific scripts, were designed for when Action Buttons were square shape, so now they do not fit inside the buttons. For example the icon used for the `List Plugins` script that Ardour sets up as one of its default Action Buttons. Will have to modify any icons offered that do not fit inside new rectangular shaped buttons. (Most scripts appear to just use letters) -Empty Action Button numbers As mentioned, when you remove an action from Action Buttons, the Action Button number is suppose to show up in center of button. Currently if you remove an action, the number gets placed in the bottom right corner of the button. The numbers font size was smaller in past versions but now appears to be the appropriate size as the other buttons numbers. However it still shows up in the bottom right corner of button. I noticed that if you close and then reopen Ardour, then the number will be centered in button. So there has been some progress made, but still a couple little graphical issues remain. |
