Summary0010042: Ardour crashing with error "Butler write-behind failure on dstream" while recording high amplitude signal.
DescriptionArdour 8.4.0 (and 7.3.0) crashing with error "Butler write-behind failure on dstream" while recording high amplitude signal (mostly without clipping). When the signal is low it's recording ok.
Running on Mint 23 with pipewire 44.1Khz.
Steps To ReproduceStart recording. Produce high signal.

Same happens to 8.12.0 with errors "peak file still truncated after rebuild" and "Audio 1 tried to read 5983 got 0 in Take35_Violin-1.1 for chn 0 to offset 0 using range 387445 .. 393428 len 5983"
