Description | While recording, pressing keypad "Enter" key used to present a box for editing a maker name, now it simply creates "mark1", "mark2" etc. Not sure if this is a bug or a deliberate design change from version 5.x
Steps To Reproduce | Record audio, press keypad Enter while recording

Have you enabled Preferences > Editor > Prompt for new marker names ? I don't have a num-pad, yet <Tab> adds new markers. When that Preference is enabled, one can directly name the marker independent of record status. |

Sorry, I'd forgotten that was configurable. Yes, it works perfectly now. (Also I didn't know <Tab> set a marker too.) You can delete the bug report (or mark it resolved.) |
