Summary | 0006248: Shuttle (sprung) sometimes continues to play when released
Description | Ardour 4.0.rc3.9 on Ubuntu Studio 14.10. Set shuttle speed control mode to "Sprung". Play audio. Drag shuttle speed control then release. Sometimes play continues at shuttle speed control speed. Expect play to continue at normal speed.
Additional Information | Can occur with either forward or reverse shuttle speed control adjustment. Must press STOP button to stop replay. If shuttle speed control set to fast forward, after stopping, pressing play will resume at the fast speed. In this case, there seems no way to reset speed control so must restart session - hence major severity.

A work-around for stuck forward speed is to trigger same bug in reverse then stop. When bug is triggered in reverse, stop and play will clear the occurrence of bug. (Not true when stuck in forward play.) Also proved it occurs in slow and fast play modes (not just fast). |

I cannot reproduce this, but if stuck, Shift+Click should restore the default value (as with most other ardour UI elements) |
