Description | When loading midi map files, if there is an error loading a specific file, print some message on the console to let the user know that there was an error with the file. | ||||
Steps To Reproduce | Write a .map file with a parsing error. Open Ardour. See the mapping is not showing on the list of available mappings. | ||||

There should already be an error message printed in the log window, for instance: [ERROR]: XML error: StartTag: invalid element name in /home/timbyr/.../midi_maps/Novation_LaunchKey25.map at line 6:2 Were you aware of this error reporting? |

Well, now I see it and is more helpful than what I had in mind for this request. Since the error happens at load time, I kinda was expecting it on stdout, probably I'm too oldschool. =) Thanks for pointing me to the logs. |
