Platformaptosid (Debian Sid/Unstable)OSLinuxOS Version
Product Version5.8
Target VersionFixed in Version
Summary0007307: Segmentation Fault when loading Calf Plugins
DescriptionEvery time I upload an LV2 Calf plugin, ardour immediately crashes. Even creating an empty session, creating a stereo audio track and trying to add the calf plugin.
Steps To ReproduceJust add a calf plugin.
Additional InformationThis has been happening for a long time. I has happened with Debian Sid's version (5.5 - 5.5.0~dfsg-1+b1), and with KXStudios (first 5.6 and now 5.8 - 5.8.0-1kxstudio1v5). Also with Sid's calf plugins, or compiled from GIT source or from KXStudio.

I've tried it in KDE and as a different user under fluxbox.

Oddly enough, in a new installation (updated) of siduction (which is, as aptosid, simply Debian Sid with a different kernel, different defaults/configs and very few extra tools), I have no problem at all, with any of the versions (Sid's or KXStudio's).

The backtrace is attached.

Here is some info on the machine where it crashes:

I found the problem. I also had calf-ladspa installed in the system. Removing it fixed the problem. Sorry for the noise...
