| Description | Comparing A4.7 from kx-repo with A5-pre from nightly build (from yesterday and last week). Same machine, same system, same hardware (saffire pro40), same jack conf (period3-buffer64- 44.1khz-16bits- 81frames in latency in and out) and session. CPU option to "all but one". New Empty session: A4.7 DSP load:8.5% A5-pre DSP load: 12% - - Load "working session" with calf plugs: A4.7 DSP load:17% A5-pre DSP load: 43.5% And of course, Xruns appears in A5-pre in this conditions. I suppose the Ardour 4.7 you got from kx-repo is an optimized one. Did you test Ardour 5.0pre with an optimized build ? There is a big difference between optimized and debug on my system with only 256 period, so I suspect it would make even more a difference with 64... |

You're right! with optimized build there is no more problems, DSP load are the same as Ardour 4.7. |

DSP overload comes from de -dbg build version. |
