| Description | Ok, not really an issue but when I click help > manual it opens a window in my browser at this address : http://en.flossmanuals.net/Ardour/Introduction/ But if i'm right, the ardour 3 documentation is now here : http://manual.ardour.org/ So perhaps it's time to change the url or is it earlier for now ?? | ||||

This is related to 5653. There is a link to the Ardour 3 manual from help > reference. I agree though that it should be in help > manual as it's the current manual. It certainly confused me too. If there is a reason for still having the two manuals, it should be clearer that there is a link for both. |

I had the same issue when i was having problems with midi which the link to the right manual, but help pointed me to that one. |

I guess it can be justified by the fact the new manual isn't yet totally done, but I'd like to report this for the future, more than a kind of TODO :-) |

I was going to report this too but there are already duplicate reports. Since this is quite important for all new ardour users I think it would help them alot and not scare them away. The correct link should be: http://manual.ardour.org/ just my 2c |

It may seem counter intuitive, but the "manual" listed in the help menu is an user manual, explaining how to get things done for an user. The help menu "Reference" will point to manual.ardour.org, which is the reference manual. |
