Summary0004081: Select MIDI regions by note as well as time.
DescriptionArdour 3 (just tried A5) seems to work fine for me. One thing I miss though is the ability to select MIDI regions by the note. I find this very useful when editing drum tracks where each note is a different instrument. I used to take a track from my pad set and split it with a note per track then by transposing that track or note I could change snare sounds for example, without affecting the other instruments. It may be easier to just have a function that splits a track by the number of active notes... So for my set of pads I would end up with 9 tracks, one track with all the C4 notes, another with all the B3, one with all the A3 and so on. (I used to do this on an old Atari mega ST... set up with 4k midi tracks for the 16 channels)
