| Summary | 0002773: Alessis 8 multimix USB | ||||
| Description | I have an Alessis 8 channel multimix mixer that can be used as a high quality soundcard. I would like to know how to make it work with Linux and Ardour. The system recognizes the mixer via USB but doesnt play the music. Regards, Sandro. | ||||

This is not a bug. Please use the mailing lists for ardour-users, or linux-audio-users, to find out more. Almost all USB-1 audio interfaces work on Linux (and almost all are pieces of junk, but thats another story). No USB2 audio interfaces work on Linux, and this is not expected to change. I have no idea what category the Alesis 8 multimix falls into. Ardour itself has absolutely nothing to do with audio interface support on either Linux or OS X. |
