|Summary||0002535: Follow-on to bug ID 2430: It should be possible to remove time, moving all objects...|
|Description||[I didn't see a way to add a note to bug 2430, but anyway it's resolved...]|
It seems to me that there should be a way to *remove* time as well as to insert time, and that should also move all objects including automation, markers, ranges. I might be missing something obvious, but I haven't yet seen a way to do that.
This may be a silly question, but how hard would it be to allow the user to input negative time in the insert time dialog and to implement the functionality underneath? (I was just thinking that might be easier than implementing a whole new feature, but I haven't seen the code.)

I deem it unlikely that users will think of using a negative value with "Insert time".
A "Remove time" feature will not need the same options for what to do with intersected regions. It can simple delete regions that are entirely within the range and move start and end points as appropriate for partly contained regions.
